Allen Griffel is one of the firm’s original founding partners joining the firm in 1981.  Before joining the firm, Allen served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Melvin J. Peterson in the Hennepin County District Court.

After his clerkship, Allen began his career in private practice as an associate in the law firm of Thomas M. Burns and Associates practicing exclusively in the area of medical negligence.  Eventually, Allen moved to the law firm of Appert and Plye where he practiced in the areas of personal injury, automobile accidents, workers’ compensation, products liability, and medical negligence.

Allen has been involved in community activities from an early age.  In high school, Allen became an Eagle Scout and subsequently served as an Assistant Scoutmaster.  Over the years, Allen has volunteered his time to various community organizations.  In his free time, Allen is an amateur photographer and chef of many years.  Many of you are no doubt familiar with him through his appearances on televised cooking shows.

For over 30 years, Allen has worked tirelessly helping victims of personal injuries regain stability in their life.  Allen has handled thousands of cases where he has forced insurance companies to accept their responsibility of enabling clients to get quality medical and rehabilitative care, while at the same time obtaining millions of dollars of financial compensation for them.
